Concept
The concept of LʼOrangerie Koh-an is “gentle French cuisine that soothes the body,” ideal even for guests recovering from long travels.
At lunch, a course menu is exclusively offered, while at dinner both set courses and à la carte dishes are available, allowing guests to tailor their dining experience to their appetite. The restaurant also provides non-alcoholic pairings and vegan menus (with advance reservation), welcoming a wide range of guests.
Situated at the southeast corner of the hotel—the “most auspicious” space—this light-filled dining room evokes the atmosphere of an orangerie, a glass conservatory once found in aristocratic estates, creating a warm and inviting environment.
The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Takeshi Kamo, recipient of the French Ordre du Mérite Agricole (Chevalier). With 21 years of international experience in Switzerland and Cambodia, Chef Kamo combines classical French technique with Japanese seasonality to present original, light, and refined dishes from breakfast through dinner.

Name & Inspiration
The restaurant is located on the southeast corner of the hotel, where the morning sun shines brightly—considered the most favorable location.
Just as an orangerie in European aristocratic estates was a cherished conservatory where rare plants were nurtured, LʼOrangerie Koh-an is designed as a warm haven for our guests. The name combines Orangerie with the Japanese term Koh-an (光庵, “light” + “retreat”), reflecting The Kitano Hotel Tokyo’s role as a bridge between East and West.
We look forward to welcoming you to this new dining experience at THE KITANO HOTEL TOKYO.
